What are basal implants?

Basal implants are the most advanced implant solution for tooth loss and periodontitis. But what exactly are they and what makes them so special?

Basal implants are placed in the deepest and hardest part of the jawbone, called the basal or corticobasal bone, hence their name. This allows the implants to be placed without bone grafting and sinus lift. The depth at which they are placed guarantees maximum strength and durability over time, optimal chewing abilities and equal loading of the jaw structures.

This type of implants is also called immediate loading implants, as the method of their placement allows for loading with dental crowns in the extremely short period of 72 hours.

Basal dental implants consist of a single titanium part, with a smooth and polished surface, thanks to which the risk of developing infection (peri-implantitis) and rejection is minimized.

Each implant we place at Dr. Hazem’s Clinic is individually numbered and certified and has a 10-year full warranty.

The most suitable choice for loading basal implants are metal-ceramic crowns, which are many times more resistant than zirconia and plastic.
